Anatomy of the build
Every part, chosen on purpose.
No filler, no leftover stock. Here's exactly what goes into the ZTK Mercury Gray Model — and why we picked it.

The chassis
Geometric Future · Model 5 (Gray)
Every ZTK machine starts with a real showcase chassis — and the Geometric Future Model 5 is built to be seen. Tool-free tempered glass on both sides means upgrades take seconds and the whole gray-and-black, RGB-lit interior stays on display; the heavy steel frame stays silent and rattle-free for years; and the PSU display shroud turns the power supply and our hand-sleeved cabling into part of the show. It's rated for up to a 420mm radiator and ten 120mm fans — exactly why this build runs a full 360mm AIO and a ten-fan ARGB layout without breaking a sweat.

Graphics
ASUS ROG STRIX RX 580 T8G Gaming (TOP OC)
The 1080p workhorse — and ASUS's top-tier RX 580: the ROG STRIX RX 580 T8G Gaming, factory-overclocked to 1431 MHz (a ~7% bump over reference). A full 8GB of GDDR5 gives real breathing room, the triple wing-blade cooler with MaxContact copper keeps it cool and quiet across 2.5 slots, and Aura Sync RGB color-matches it to the rest of the RGB-lit build behind the glass. Strong high-refresh esports and 1080p-high AAA.

Motherboard
ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming WiFi II
A serious step up in the backbone — the ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming WiFi II. Twelve-plus-two teamed power stages with alloy chokes feed the Ryzen clean, stable power under load, and onboard WiFi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 mean wireless is built right in — no add-in card needed. PCIe 4.0, dual M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 2.5Gb Intel LAN, HDMI 2.1, and BIOS Flashback for painless upgrades. It's also a clear upgrade path — drop in a Ryzen 5000 chip (up to a 5800X3D) later and it just works — with Aura Sync RGB to tie the whole build together.

Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6C/12T)
The Ryzen 5 3600 earned its name as the value gaming CPU of its generation — six Zen 2 cores and twelve threads that still push 100+ FPS in the world's most popular games when paired with a real GPU. Unlocked, cool, and efficient at just 65W, it's exactly the right amount of CPU for a 1080p build — and on this B550 board it's a stepping stone, not a dead end: drop in a Ryzen 5000-series chip later and keep everything else.

Cooling
PCCOOLER CPS DA360 Pro ARGB
A 360mm liquid loop on a 65W Ryzen is gloriously overkill — and that's the point: the CPU runs cold and dead-silent with years of headroom. PCCOOLER's DA360 Pro pairs a premium copper cold plate with mesmerizing multi-layer Infinite-Halo ARGB on the pump head and three silent daisy-chained PWM fans, all synced to the build's 5V ARGB. The fully rotatable pump head let us route the tubes clean. Paired with a separate 7-inch LCD elsewhere in the build for live system stats.

Display
Hosyond 7" IPS Secondary Screen
The detail that makes people stop scrolling — a 7-inch IPS screen built right into the rig. Run it with AIDA64 as a live dashboard of CPU/GPU temps, clocks, and load, or use it as a second Windows display for Discord, music, or stream chat. It connects over a single USB cable — no HDMI, no clutter inside the case — and the CNC aluminum shell looks the part. Crisp 1024×600 IPS with wide viewing angles.

Memory
Silicon Power DDR4-3200 · TUMMASTER RGB
The same memory treatment as our White build — Silicon Power DDR4 modules, fast, low-voltage and rock-stable once XMP is on, reshelled in TUMMASTER aluminium RGB armor so the sticks glow with the rest of the build. Here they run at 3200MHz — plenty for the Ryzen — with headroom to spare for gaming alongside Discord, a browser, and a stream.

Storage
500GB NVMe SSD
Your OS and games live here, so we fit a fast PCIe NVMe drive — the same class of M.2 we run in the White build — for near-instant boots, snappy launches, and game loads measured in seconds instead of the spinning-disk waits of a budget machine. It drops into the B550's Gen4 M.2 slot under the thermal guard, and there's a second M.2 plus SATA headers open whenever you want to add more.

Power
T.F. Skywind 800W (TF800)
Genuinely overbuilt for this machine — 800 watts feeding a system that only draws around 300W flat out. The supply barely breaks a sweat: cool and quiet on its 120mm FDB fan, and with a stout +12V rail (66A) it has the headroom to take a much bigger GPU down the road without ever being replaced. 115/230V input switch and the standard ATX 12V 2.31 form factor.

Airflow
DARKROCK R140 ARGB (Black)
The finishing touch — 140mm infinity-mirror ARGB fans in both reverse- and forward-blade versions, so the clean side always faces out through the glass whichever way they mount. PWM-controlled for silence at idle and real airflow under load, on long-life hydraulic bearings. In black, they disappear into the Model-5's smoked interior while the lighting pops.

Lighting & control
120mm ARGB Fans + 9-Port Hub (Black)
Tying the lighting together — daisy-chained 120mm infinity-mirror ARGB fans that link pin-to-pin, so one cable feeds the whole cluster and the inside of the case stays clean. Bionic blades move real air (up to 58 CFM) while staying quiet on anti-resonance pads, and a 9-port hub with remote keeps every fan and light in 5V ARGB sync — forward and reverse versions so the pretty side always faces out.
